In the foundry industry, almost all steel castings and iron castings must be processed by shot blasting machine. The purpose of this is not only to clean up the surface impurities of the castings, but also to check the quality of the castings after the production is completed. The products with poor surface can be directly screened. Shot blasting machine is a processing technology in which steel grit and steel shots are shot and impacted on the surface of material objects at a high speed through a shot blasting machine. Compared with other surface treatment technologies, it is faster, more effective, and can be partially retained or the casting process after stamping. In daily use, wear-resistant parts need to be replaced frequently. The reason is that the principle of rust removal is to blast the surface of the workpiece at a speed of 76m/s through a motor-driven shot blasting machine, so as to achieve the purpose of rust removal. In this way, the projectile itself and the equipment itself will be greatly damaged during use.
Blast turbine is the core component of shot blasting machine. Its quality directly determines the cleaning efficiency and service life of the shot blasting machine. Its wearing parts include: blade, abrasive distributor, control cage, end guard plate and side guard plate, all made of high chromium wear-resistant cast iron. Among them, due to the high linear velocity in contact with the steel shots, the blade wears large and the service life is short. The service life is generally about 500 hours. When the wear is large, the cleaning efficiency of the shot blasting machine is low, and the control cabinet of the equipment shows that the current of the shot blasting machine cannot reach the preset value. The second severely damaged wheel is the abrasive distributor, which is the medium that transports the abrasive to the blade. Although the wear level of the blade cannot be reached, the life of the abrasive distributor is about 800 hours due to the rotating friction at a speed of 2400 rpm. The control cage is used to adjust the spray angle. The principle is to adjust the spray angle by adjusting the angle of the sand outlet. If the wear is too large, the abrasive scattering phenomenon will occur, seriously affect the ejection effect. Due to the relatively low friction with the projectile, the service life of the end shields and side shields usually exceeds 1,000 hours.
When the shot
blasting machine is working, the abrasive enters the center of the blasting
turbine through the feed port. In the center of the blasting turbine, there is abrasive
distributor that rotates together with the blasting turbine. The outer side of
the abrasive distributor is a control cage. The abrasive distributor conveys
the abrasive to the end of the grinding disc near the center of the blasting
turbine through the opening on the control cage. The abrasive particles are
accelerated along the length of the blade due to centrifugal force until they
reach the tip of the blade and reach the extreme High speed hits the surface of
the workpiece.
The blade in the
blasting turbine is in direct contact with the abrasive, and its quality is
closely related to the performance of the blasting turbine. The wear resistance
of the blade directly determines the service life of the blade and the
operating cost of the shot blasting machine. Therefore, the blades of the
blasting turbine should be made of highly wear-resistant materials. The wear
resistance of the blade is not only related to the blade material, but also
closely related to the working conditions of the shot blasting machine. For
example, if there is 1% sand in the abrasive, the life of the blade will be
shortened by 80%.
When the
impeller rotates at a high speed, the wear or crack of the blade will cause
vibration. Therefore, it is necessary to frequently check the integrity of the
blades and replace defective blades in time. In order to ensure the stability
of the blasting turbine, the blades must be replaced in pairs, that is, the
blades opposite to the unqualified blades must be replaced at the same time to
obtain a good dynamic balance. If a problem with the blade is suspected to
cause the throwing head to work abnormally, all blades need to be replaced.
The
abrasive used to reduce blade wear is steel shot. There are two reasons. One is
that the particles of the steel shot are spherical. The other is that the
hardness of the steel shot is moderate. From an economic point of view, steel
shot is an ideal abrasive for shot peening.
1. Check whether there is any debris
falling into the machine, and clear it in time to prevent blockage of each
conveying link and cause equipment failure.
2. Check whether the shot blasting
machine accessories screws are tightened before work.
3. Before operation, check the wear and
tear of vulnerable parts such as guard plates, blades, impellers, rubber
curtains, directional sleeves, rollers, etc., and replace them in time.
4. Check the coordination of the moving
parts of the electrical appliances, whether the bolt connection is loose, and
tighten it in time.
5. The oil filling point of the shot
blasting machine equipment is regularly checked whether the oil filling of each
part meets the regulations.
When the shot blasting machine is working,
as long as the maintenance work of the shot blasting machine accessories is
done, it will effectively extend the service life of the equipment and reduce
the damage.
